I'm also just a girl, sitting in a shed, asking you to love her ;)

I'm a writer and I'm extremely lucky to get paid to write. (Check out this page for more info on my business.) However, I'm always writing for other people and I rarely get to express myself. I'm still working toward my dream of becoming a published author of YA books, but I need to connect with people through writing now. So...

I invite you into the She Shed.

After 7 years of working at my kitchen table, my husband decided I needed a quiet place to work and write. He built the She Shed for me, and to borrow a truly corny expression, it is my happy place. (Yes, he is awesome. No, you can't borrow him!)  The She Shed is where I get my best, weirdest, most whimsical thoughtiest thoughts. It's also where I struggle to make the words on the screen match the words in my heart. I can be quiet in the She Shed, or I can turn the music ALL the way up and dance or jump on my mini trampoline until the words come to me. 

This site's purpose is small, but important to me. I want to write down my thoughts and share them with people. That's it. Make yourself comfy. Take off your shoes (the She Shed is a shoes off kind of place) while I open the windows and allow the sounds of the creek to drift in.
